Story Riders empowers Indigenous, Latino, and children and youth of color to reconnect with their natural and cultural heritage through practical training in bicycle safety and maintenance. Participants will experience guided cycling adventures that foster a deeper understanding of local histories and environments, ultimately strengthening community bonds and promoting cultural appreciation.
With community members, CSC develops novel cultural educational and economic models that build on the resources New Mexicans have already. We seek to promote health in our communities by doing the following activities through a cultural lens: 1. Increase food sovereignty and consumption of local fresh fruits and vegetables; 2. Increase economic opportunity for Nuevo Mexicanos; 3. Increase youth’s capacity to develop a fulfilling life.
