East Mountain High School

The EMHS Sophomore Experience is a 5 day outdoor education experience that acts as a capstone to the 10th grade year at EMHS. Every sophomore attends a multi-day outdoor learning adventure. At the end of the experience, sophomores return to EMHS and present on their experience. Current outdoor learning retreat locales identified are Ghost Ranch or Lone Tree Ranch.
Rather than offering an experience that only students who can afford the experience will attend, in this model, 100% of our sophomore class, and eventually, 100% of all students will be able to experience this important cornerstone of our school.
