Quetzalcoatl Temple
Grants Awarded
The planned project intends to upgrade the visitor experience at Quetzalcoatl Temple’s Botanical Garden by constructing a shower facility and employing available land for outdoor recreational activities, resulting in a comprehensive solution for sanitation and hygiene needs. The addition is expected to improve the garden's accessibility, augment environmental education and community engagement, and strengthen the site's long-term sustainability and economic stability. It not only caters to visitors' immediate hygiene needs, but also fosters an inclusive outdoor recreation environment promoting health, extending visitor stays, and connecting diverse community members to the benefits of nature.
The mission of our organization is to bring people closer to Nature through our botanical garden and trails, our school for healers and through our giveaways of plants each spring. Students of the school spend time in the botanical garden learning about the plants used in curanderismo and hike the trails on the 14 acre property. We want to extend these opportunities to the public to view our plentiful local wildlife, hike our trails and improve their wellness. We have been serving the community since 2019.
