Mandy's Farm will provide a free Adaptive Horsemanship Camp in 2024, offering enriching outdoor experiences for children with intellectual or developmental disabilities. By fostering safe and calm interactions with horses, the program aims to empower participants, promote inclusivity, and strengthen community bonds.
Mandy’s Farm was founded in 1996 to provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals of learning, working, and living in the community.Our programs consist of: Employment Training and Placement – to secure meaningful and competitive employment opportunities. Customized Community Supports – to engage in inclusive community events and activities that cultivate social connections. Residential Supportive Living – residential homes that provide care in a safe and secure environment. Vocational Access and Meaningful Opportunities for Success – Preparing high school students with life skills and vocational education. AgrAbility Apprenticeship – Employment opportunities for adults that want to pursue a career in farming. Adaptive Horsemanship – Improves physical strength, confidence, and social-emotional skills through equine therapy. Aquatic Therapy – Utilizing warm water therapy to enhance relaxation, motor skills, and cardiovascular health.
