Krystal Speedy-Hite
Located in La Madera.
Krystal Speedy serves as Business Operations Analyst for the New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division, where she supports agency operations, administrative processes, and strategic initiatives that advance outdoor recreation across the state. She also provides executive scheduling and travel coordination support for Economic Development New Mexico Cabinet Secretary Rob Black.
Before joining state government, Krystal spent 12 years working in the nursing field, developing a strong foundation in service, problem-solving, and supporting others. She later transitioned into public service, bringing those same skills to executive operations, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Originally from Michigan, Krystal relocated to New Mexico in 2022 and quickly fell in love with Santa Fe and the state’s diverse landscapes. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, she has enjoyed discovering a new kind of outdoor recreation in the Southwest — from the forests and mountains of northern New Mexico to the hidden pockets of water and greenery that remind her of home.
Living in La Madera with her husband, son, and three corgis, Krystal spends her free time exploring Carson National Forest and the communities that make rural New Mexico unique.
