Roswell Public Library

The Growing Futures Outdoor Learning Campus will transform the Roswell Public Library into an accessible outdoor learning space, connecting all youths to nature regardless of income, prior experience or transport barriers. With a focus on the underserved, the program offers free, inclusive activities including vegetable gardening, habitat creation, water conservation, and Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) learning; these initiatives expose participants to New Mexico's desert ecosystem and instill practical skills supporting environmental stewardship and community health. Participants will cultivate confidence and leadership skills, while community partnerships with Master Gardeners, educators, local organizations, and volunteers will foster intergenerational learning and mentorship, inspiring future outdoor leaders and environmental stewards.
