RFP: Rio Grande Trail Community Engagement and Designation Specialist

ORD seeks proposals to support community engagement and designation of the Rio Grande Trail

The New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division (ORD) has released RFP# EDD-2027-ORD-RGTS-001 seeking a contractor to support community engagement and designation efforts for the Rio Grande Trail.

The Rio Grande Trail is envisioned as a statewide recreational trail extending nearly 500 miles from the Colorado state line to the Texas state line, with designated trail segments and connecting routes. The selected contractor will support ORD’s work to advance the trail’s development and designation in communities across New Mexico.

RFP release date: October 1, 2026
Proposal deadline: October 21, 2026, at 3 p.m. MDT
