The "Difference" project aims to introduce 12 disadvantaged youth from Santa Clara Pueblo to the joys of fly fishing and big lake fishing, enriching their lives with this unique outdoor experience. Participants will receive personalized instruction from a professional guide during a free trip to the San Juan River and Navajo Lake, equipping them with fishing gear to foster an ongoing connection to the sport. This initiative aspires to enhance the quality of life for these children while promoting environmental appreciation and outdoor activity within the local community.
Santa Clara Pueblo (SCP) seeks funding to develop 1.3 acres of ADA-compliant picnic sites equipped with permanent overhead shelters, tables, benches, and barbecue stands in Santa Clara Canyon. This initiative is designed to enhance community access to recreational spaces, promoting inclusivity and fostering social engagement among local residents.
Elders Videography Interviews with Pueblo Elders documenting their recollections pueblo history, located sacred sites in order to preserve it for future generations. Youth Riparian,Restoration and Inventory Project (RRIP):Nine week wildlife inventory, establish baseline fish data. YCC : Youth restoring and preserving the Puye Cliff Dwellings learning Prehistoric masonry, documentation of sites, condition assessments, repair and stabilization nearby stream restoration.
