The NM Outdoor Recreation Division is honored to be part of the Confluence of States, a bipartisan coalition of state Outdoor Recreation Offices dedicated to advancing the nation’s outdoor recreation economy, protecting our wild places, and transforming conservation into a driver for economic prosperity.
There are currently 24 states with offices that serve as central hubs for promoting outdoor recreation, supporting local economies, and enhancing public health through increased access to nature. By joining forces with the Confluence of States, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive outdoor recreation community that benefits all.

Outdoor Recreation Roundtable

The New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division is a member of the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR), the nation’s leading business coalition advancing a sustainable and growing $1.2 trillion outdoor recreation economy for the benefit of all Americans
ORR works to promote policies that conserve public lands and waterways, enhance infrastructure, and improve the experiences and quality of life for outdoor enthusiasts.
New Mexico Tourism Department
Promotes New Mexico as a premier destination for outdoor recreation and adventure tourism, supporting economic growth across the state.
New Mexico Forestry Division / Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department
Manages and protects the state’s forests, providing stewardship, fire prevention, and sustainable recreational opportunities.
New Mexico State Parks / Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department
Maintains state parks and recreation areas, ensuring safe and accessible outdoor experiences for residents and visitors.
New Mexico Department of Game and Fish
