This program will transform a vacant, neglected lot into an environmentally sustainable space that supports local wildlife, including bees, birds, and butterflies, while providing a community gathering area. The initiative seeks to foster learning and engagement among individuals of all ages and abilities through diverse programs, enhancing the local community's connection to nature and sustainability.
Transforming a 2004 square foot, goat head infested, empty lot adjacent to a public library into an environmentally conscious, bee, bird and butterfly friendly space planted with native, drought tolerant trees and shrubs with the inclusion of an outdoor learning and gathering space in which to hold a multitude of programs for individuals of all ages, abilities and interests.
