The Lobo Canyon Trails Project in the Mount Taylor Ranger District of the Cibola National Forest aims to develop a 23-mile non-motorized trail system that will enhance recreational options and strengthen the local economy by drawing tourism. Catering to various skill levels, the stacked loop trail targets year-round usability, connecting key sites including the Continental Divide Trailhead and Coal Mine Campground. This project not only improves access to outdoor activities for Cibola County residents, but also supports sustainable tourism and growth in the region's outdoor recreation sector.
