Diné Outdoors operates in the Four Corners region, offering indigenous youth opportunities to engage with their heritage and nature by rafting the San Juan River. Guided by indigenous river tour guides, the youth explore cultural sites and learn about biodiversity and the importance of their ancestral land and water. The program, focused on promoting kinship and understanding of their cultural identity, includes practical rafting skills, ancestral storytelling, and teaching of the Diné language. The outcome is to empower these youth with a deeper understanding and respect for their heritage and the environment.
