Date Night Season One: Enchanted Adventures aims to promote local businesses in New Mexico by showcasing restaurants, lodging, and outdoor activities through engaging television episodes. Participants will gain practical knowledge for outdoor adventures and access to tailored resources, while the community benefits from increased visibility and patronage of local sites and services.

Katharsis Media is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to: educate, entertain, and inspire the community through the performing arts, with a special emphasis on theatre, dance, and film. provide a living wage for performing artists who teach, create, direct, and produce. foster and develop, through workshops and other appropriate means, the artistic talents and skills of company members and other interested persons. reward and recognize artists in the community through awards, prizes, and scholarships. provide access to resources, training, and career opportunities for filmmakers and performing artists. Katharsis Media accomplishes its mission through production of film and theatrical projects, internships, classes, camps, workshops and scholarships. In partnership with the City of Albuquerque Katharsis Media runs the New Mexico Education Channel / Comcast local 96. The NM Educational Access Channel broadcasts on Comcast 96 and is one of the four Public Access channels granted to the City of Albuquerque. Public access television was created by the Federal Communications Commission in the late 1960’s to provide a form of non-commercial mass media where the general public can create television programming for broadcast through the local cable company. Katharsis Media recently partnered with the City of Albuquerque to manage the Educational Access channel, and has since been nationally honored as “Best in Overall Excellence in Educational Access Television” in our budget category by the Alliance for Community Media. In partnership with WIOA, NIYC and Albuquerque Public Schools, Katharsis Media is able to offer opportunities for internships and career exploration and provides on the job training and career opportunities for 25-35 youth and young adults every academic year. Katharsis Media has maintained a 52% scholarship rate since its conception in 2019 and has supported over a hundred artists through various projects. One of Katharsis’ founders, Candice Neu, has also produced her own talk show, The Neu Agenda, which airs on Comcast 27, the Southwest Channel, and has been picked up in Manhattan (Manhattan Neighborhood Network) and the Bronx (BronxNet) for its sixth season, premiering in January 2024. The show boasts an impressive roster of guests, including Edred Utomi (Hamilton on the Angelica Tour of Hamilton) and Oscar Rene Lazyoy II (Director for Law & Order SVU: LA Unit). Candice has become known across New Mexico Film as an influencer and local celebrity, and will be one of the hosts of the project for this proposal.
