Grants Awarded
The Sandoval County Trails and Pathways Plan Initiative aims to establish safe non-motorized travel routes throughout Sandoval County, centered around the Rail Runner Station and Rio Metro Bus access in Bernalillo. The program seeks to enhance community mobility and promote local tourism by developing marketing materials and outreach efforts. Ultimately, it will improve residents' quality of life and foster vibrant community connections.
The project involves hiring a vendor to conduct a feasibility study for a 9-mile pedestrian, bicycle, and multiuse trail along New Mexico State Road 165 in Placitas. This initiative is designed to enhance connectivity for residents and visitors while ensuring a safe route for children traveling to the elementary school, ultimately promoting community accessibility and active transportation.
