SPIRIT of Hidalgo plans to build 12 horse stalls at the Hidalgo County Fairgrounds to accommodate horses during rodeos and county fairs, as well as provide secure overnight boarding for horseback hunters and travelers. Enabling a potential source of income from events attracting people from Arizona, Texas, Mexico, the project also intends to offer hands-on learning for young people interested in agriculture and construction. This initiative, expected to contribute to the decades-long development plan for the fairgrounds, reinforces SPIRIT of Hidalgo's longstanding commitment to serve the local community, evident in their effective management of volunteer programs and their role as a community resource during the pandemic.
