Pecos is a village in San Miguel County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 1,392 at the 2010 census, shrinking slower than other parts of San Miguel County, partly because Pecos is within commuting distance of Santa Fe. The Village of Pecos continues to towards establishing a robust outdoor economy. In the past year there were structured events which has set up Pecos for continued success in the 2023-24 program year. Pecos offered fishing days and community hikes. The Village of Pecos has been ravaged by wildfires and we worked with local, state and national partners in wildfire response while creating youth centered outdoor programming. Pecos will continue to create a series of activities to support our youth and family using positive youth development based programs to both support our families and youth while supporting our local economy. The Village of Pecos is focused on continuing to work on recovery efforts and intends to continue to partner with the NM Wildlife Federation Nature Ninos program for programming.
