Village of Ruidoso

This project seeks to enhance the Grindstone Recreation Area in Ruidoso by improving amenities such as picnic areas, restrooms, pavilions, and accessible docks, thereby promoting a more enjoyable and comfortable outdoor experience for residents and visitors. These enhancements will contribute to the local community's economic diversification and support the ongoing development of outdoor recreation opportunities.

This project will help the city repair flood damage at Two Rivers Park and enhance the park’s popular trail system with new, family-friendly amenities. Funding will support replacing damaged infrastructure—including a pedestrian bridge, picnic tables, benches, and a pavilion—while also adding new features like additional seating, trash receptacles, and an updated pavilion. The project will also install a video monitoring system to improve visitor safety and help the city track river conditions during future flooding events. To further enrich the park experience, the city plans to create a storybook walk along the trail, encouraging both physical activity and learning for visitors of all ages.
